Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between natural and lacquered copper?

Copper naturally darkens as it reacts with the oxygen in the air. If you select a natural finish, the copper will be polished before dispatch but will start to darken as soon as you receive it, this is suitable for those who prefer a more rustic finish.

If you select the lacquered finish, the copper will be coated in a clear industrial strength lacquer which seals the copper and slows down the oxidisation process. This means that it will retain the clean polished finish.

The lacquer is completely clear, so it is very hard to tell that it has any form of coating on. The lacquer was developed for table tops and flooring, so it is incredibly durable.
